Soccer Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay lost against Wakulla back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bay Tornadoes fell just short of the Wakulla War Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the War Eagles are ranked 195th).

Bay was without their leading scorer, CHRISTOPHER AGUILAR, in Thursday's game. With AGUILAR sidelined, EVER SALAS got his first action of the season.

Bay is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13-1. As for Wakulla, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bay will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Rutherford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. Wakulla will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th.
