Softball Recap: Providence Day Chargers vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks
Providence Day fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Charlotte Latin on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-2. The Chargers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Rachel Lyons spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on nine hits and racked up 20 Ks. Those 20 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Olivia Hartsell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
