Baseball Recap: Whittier Cardinals vs. La Serna Lancers
Whittier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 10-3 loss at the hands of the La Serna Lancers. That's two games in a row now that Whittier has lost by exactly seven runs.

On La Serna's side, Brandon Garcia and Joshua Rodriguez made a splash no matter where they played. In other batting news, Owen Long was incredible, going 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Ryan Barraza was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.
Whittier's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for La Serna, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Whittier will challenge McQueen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for La Serna, they will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Amat at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Amat is on a six-game streak of home wins, La Serna a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
