Soccer Recap: Fairfield Central Comes Up Short

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Chester Cyclones, falling 17-0. If the Griffins were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Cyclones when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chester, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Fairfield Central will host Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester, they are taking a road trip to square off against Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chester is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.7 goals per game this season.
