Baseball Game Preview: Woodland Bobcats vs. Handley Tigers

Woodland is 0-6 against Handley since February of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Woodland Bobcats take on Handley Tigers at 2:00 p.m. Handley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodland, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Woodland and Wadley, and Woodland kept the tradition alive. Woodland blew past Wadley 13-3 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Handley came up short against Valley on Friday and fell 6-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kaleb Powel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Brody Esttes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Woodland's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Handley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
