Recap: Camden Military Spartans vs. Ben Lippen Falcons
After flying high against the Greenville H Hurricanes last Friday, The Camden Military Spartans came back down to earth. Camden Military took a serious blow against Ben Lippen on Friday, falling 49-22. Camden Military was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Ben Lippen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braden Marye, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Blake Bost also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Ben Lippen's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Jed Essig and his 2.5 sacks.
Camden Military has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Ben Lippen, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.
Camden Military does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ben Lippen will head out on the road to face off against Porter-Gaud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
