Flag Football Recap: K Elder and K Griggs Pace Stephenson Defense

Stephenson's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Columbia Eagles a 19-0 shutout. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

K Griggs had a dynamite game, rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. She didn't just play on offense: she also picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.

Stephenson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by K Elder and Griggs, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Stephenson now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Stephenson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Clarkston on the 20th. Columbia has also already played their next game (against Drew Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
