Basketball Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short

Wayland was the 45-40 winner over Cambridge Rindge & Latin when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wayland Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Falcons are ranked 30th).

Wayland now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Wayland has already played their next contest (against Boston Latin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cambridge Rindge & Latin has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Brockton.
