Baseball Recap: Helix Falls Short of Mission Hills in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Helix can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Hills Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Helix saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antoin Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Helix's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Mission Hills, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-17 record.

Helix does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Hills, they are taking a road trip to face off against Coronado at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Islanders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
