Recap: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Monument Academy Lynx
In what's become a running theme this season, the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by Monument Academy at home to the tune of 59-18. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Miami-Yoder has managed all season.
Miami-Yoder got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Howard out in front who scored 16 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jel Wallerstedt, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Miami-Yoder's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Monument Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Miami-Yoder will be playing in front of their home fans against Cripple Creek-Victor at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Monument Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Tree Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
