Basketball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Edison can now relate to. They fell 52-42 to the Memorial Chargers on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Garrett led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Garrett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jarius Bossell, who posted nine points and five boards.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Memorial, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

As of now, neither Edison nor Memorial have any future games scheduled.
