Jonathan Alvarez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Beachside's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 5-2 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
