Football Recap: Sheldon Huskies vs. Elk Grove Thundering Herd        
        
		
             After soaring to 38  points the game before, Sheldon was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Friday. They lost  32-7 to the Elk Grove Thundering Herd. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 459th, while the Thundering Herd are ranked 201st).
  David Hale was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 43 yards and three touchdowns for Elk Grove. Hale is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in the last seven games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Sheldon has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record  this season. As for Elk Grove, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheldon will square off against Laguna Creek at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Laguna Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.8  points per game  this season. As for Elk Grove, they will challenge Pleasant Grove at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Elk Grove is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
