Football Recap: Oldham-Ramona/R Comes Up Short at Home Against St. Mary

Oldham-Ramona/R unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the St. Mary Cardinals 58-6 on Friday. The Rutland haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Cooper Merager threw for 57 yards on three of eight attempts. Boyd Pooler was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Dylan Sievers rushed for 28 yards.

Oldham-Ramona/R has already played their next match, a 46-8 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on the 29th. As for St. Mary, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-0 win against Irene/Wakonda on the 29th.
