Softball Recap: Wallenpaupack Area Takes a Loss

Wallenpaupack Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Scranton Prep Cavaliers. The Buckhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Clara Babyak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Kielbasa, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Wallenpaupack Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Scranton Prep, their record now sits at 4-5.

Coming up, Wallenpaupack Area will square off against West Scranton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Scranton Prep, they will take on Delaware Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.83 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
