Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Academy Knights vs. Carthage Bulldogs
Cumberland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carthage Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on October 4th.
While Cumberland Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Carthage work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-9.
Nicole Sharp paced Cumberland Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sharp got some help from
Kelci Zelaya and her 21 assists.
Makenna Wade controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
