Omaha R's loss ends five-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Omaha R Roadrunners vs. St. Mary's Academy Crusaders
The Omaha R Roadrunners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 57-27 loss at the hands of St. Mary's Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Omaha R has scored all season.
St. Mary's Academy was led to victory by Thomas Garland and Nick Whitehead . Garland scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Whitehead scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Whitehead 's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Josh Knueper was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Omaha R's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-5. As for St. Mary's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Omaha R won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Faith Christian Academy on January 6th. Hopefully Faith Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
