North Yarmouth Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Lewiston Blue Devils by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 13 in a row dating back to last season.
North Yarmouth Academy took Lewiston into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-9.
Even though they lost, North Yarmouth Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.
The victory got Lewiston back to even at 1-1.
