Baseball Recap: Moss Point Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Moss Point duked it out with Pascagoula on Friday. The Tigers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Moss Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willie Hurd, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Moss Point now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pascagoula, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Moss Point will challenge Gautier at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pascagoula, they will face off against Harrison Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
