Basketball Recap: Easley Falls Despite Big Games from Rj Stack and Ethan Crews

Easley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 61-50 to the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats on Thursday. The game marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Easley had strong showings from Ethan Crews, who posted 24 points and three steals, and Rj Stack, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. The contest was Crews' seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Easley's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Brookland-Cayce, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Easley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Hammond at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. Brookland-Cayce has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three games.
