Basketball Recap: Spartanburg's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Southside last Thursday, Spartanburg came back down to earth. The Spartanburg Vikings received a blow on Friday as they fell 63-44 to the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fort Mill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wallace Campbell out in front who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Parker, who earned 15 points.

Spartanburg moved to 5-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Fort Mill, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spartanburg will head out to square off against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Fort Mill, they will venture away from home to take on Clover at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Fort Mill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.
