Baseball Recap: Gardiner Tigers vs. Morse Shipbuilders

Gardiner had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-4 to make it four. They lost 11-1 to the Morse Shipbuilders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Gardiner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Madore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Greyson Greenleaf also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for Morse, they now have a winning record of 6-5. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

On Morse's side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Murray, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Murray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Becker, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
