Volleyball Recap: Oakland Gets the Win

Oakland saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the St. George's Gryphons by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Carlina Bauer paced Oakland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bauer got some help from Ellie Knox and her 16 assists. Mikaela Holder controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Oakland's record is now 12-5. As for St. George's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oakland and St. George's will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Blue Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Gryphons will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
