Softball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Providence Catholic Provets. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Provets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Providence Catholic, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-10-1.

Holy Cross has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against New Braunfels Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Providence Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against San Antonio Christian on the 3rd.
