Softball Game Preview: Harts Bluff Bulldogs vs. Bowie Pirates

Harts Bluff hasn't had much luck against Bowie recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Harts Bluff Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Bowie Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Harts Bluff has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Harts Bluff is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Bowie, falling 16-1.

For Bowie's part, Tatum Tyndell made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Tyndell was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Callie Allen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Chloe Pinkerton also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Bowie hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. Harts Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
