Soccer Recap: Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the New Braunfels Unicorns, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 500th, while the Unicorns are ranked 170th).

Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for New Braunfels, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Veterans Memorial will head out to take on Wagner at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Braunfels, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Smithson Valley at 7:15 p.m. Smithson Valley will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something New Braunfels surely won't give up without a fight.
