If Padua Franciscan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lake Catholic, they should've done a better job of containing Danny Zmorowski. The Cougars breezed past the Bruins to the tune of 30-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Zmorowski, who rushed for 173 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 59 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Lake Catholic and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Padua Franciscan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake Catholic will square off against rival Holy Name at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cougars 11.9, the Green Wave 14.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Padua Franciscan is set to challenge their familiar foe Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
