Soccer Recap: Yucaipa Comes Up Short

After flying high against Citrus Valley last Tuesday, Yucaipa came back down to earth. The Yucaipa Thunderbirds fell just short of the Beaumont Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on January 7th.

The loss snapped Yucaipa's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5-4 record. As for Beaumont, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season.

Yucaipa didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Redlands East Valley on the 28th. As for Beaumont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Citrus Valley on the 28th.
