Eastern's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Trenton Central, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Eastern took their win against Trenton Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
