Latrell Carter Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Pine Forest's Latrell Carter, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Carter rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 51 yards.
Pine Forest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Carter and Pine Forest will face off against Triton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

This season, Whittington has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 36.7 rushing yards per game.

Moore Posts Huge Game in 52-32 Win
Jaidon Moore posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
On the season, Moore has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 151.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 2.14 passing yards per game.

Overhills Gets a Boost from Kelly in 12-8 Defeat
Overhills was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Logan Kelly did his best to prevent it. Despite the loss, Kelly was still balling out as he picked up two sacks and made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Overhills is 2-1 when Kelly posts four or more total tackles, but 1-3 otherwise.
Overhills' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4. Kelly and Overhills will head out to take on Harnett Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is O'Brian Ward of Triton. Ward rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
