Football Recap: Palatka Takes a Loss

Palatka started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Santa Fe. They fell 24-20 to the Raiders on Friday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 6-0 in the first quarter.

Santa Fe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keimarion Neal, who rushed for 75 yards and one score on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasiah Powell, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown.

Palatka's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Santa Fe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Palatka has already played their next contest, a 21-20 loss against Nature Coast Tech on the 19th. As for Santa Fe, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 37-27 victory against Fernandina Beach on the 19th.
