It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Simpson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Singer Hornets, sneaking past 8-7. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by just one run.

Simpson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Singer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson will host Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Singer, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
