Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Yuma walked away with it. They came out on top against the Sanford Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Outlaws, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Berkley Nighswonger paced Yuma's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nighswonger got some help from Bailey Nighswonger and her 13 assists. Bailey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got Yuma back to even at 13-13. As for Sanford, they moved to 20-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Yuma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Holyoke on the 13th. As for Sanford, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Dolores on the 14th.
