Basketball Recap: Boys Town Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lily Perrett and Starr Mills

Boys Town lost against Cornerstone Christian School back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Boys Town Cowboys took a 38-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian School Cougars. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boys Town's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Starr Mills, who went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points, and Lily Perrett, who posted seven points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Perrett a new career-high in boards. Molly Mcmahon also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Boys Town's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cornerstone Christian School, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Boys Town has already played their next match, a 42-36 defeat against Mead on the 16th. Cornerstone Christian School has also already played their next contest (against Heartland Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
