Baseball Recap: Century Takes a Loss

Forest Grove hit Century with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars fell 6-3 to the Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Monday.

Century saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Chesler, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Century and nudges their season record down to 9-12. As for Forest Grove, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

While Century had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
