Basketball Recap: Weslaco Falls Despite Big Games from Caleb Silva and Brode Lopez

Weslaco lost against Bridgeland two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a hard 50-35 fall against the Bears. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brode Lopez and Caleb Silva certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Lopez posted six points and three steals, while Silva earned six points.

Weslaco has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Bridgeland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
