Volleyball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Takes a Loss

If Bradshaw Mountain was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tempe last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 3-0 to the Prescott Badgers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Ryan Droke paced Bradshaw Mountain's offense, picking up seven kills. Droke got some help from Antonio Beltran and his 11 assists. Finally, Beltran was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Bradshaw Mountain's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-12. As for Prescott, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Bradshaw Mountain has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lee Williams on the 3rd. As for Prescott, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Dysart on the 3rd.
