Clinton and Abbeville are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. Clinton will take on Abbeville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Clinton came up short against Chester and fell 10-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Cyclones: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Abbeville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against the Saints as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly ten runs.

Abbeville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Clinton took their win against Abbeville when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 18-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
