Basketball Recap: Isabella Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cromwell over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley

Cromwell and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cromwell had to settle for second. The matchup between the Cromwell Cardinals and the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves didn't end well, with the Cromwell Cardinals falling 69-51. The Cardinals have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabella Anderson, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Anderson has posted since back in January. Siiena Anderson was another key player, going 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Cromwell was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. This was only their fourth loss (out of 28 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Cromwell nor Walker-Hackensack-Akeley have any future games scheduled.
