Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

Walled Lake Western lost against Mott back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walled Lake Western Warriors fell 60-47 to the Mott Corsairs. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Corsairs are ranked 13th).

This is the second loss in a row for Walled Lake Western and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Mott, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Walled Lake Western has already played their next match (against Clarkston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mott will challenge Kettering at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
