Basketball Recap: North County Comes Up Short

North County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 71-52 bruising from the Hillsboro Hawks. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 83-76 to the Raiders when the teams met back in December of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Hillsboro to victory were Gunner Sutton and Gregory Robinson. Sutton dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Robinson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave Sutton a new career-high in rebounds. Karson Campbell was another key player, shooting 40% from the field en route to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals.

North County's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Hillsboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

As of now, neither North County nor Hillsboro have any future games scheduled.
