Soccer Game Preview: Perkins vs. Edison

The Perkins Pirates will head out to take on the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Perkins has three straight victories, Edison has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Saturday, Perkins made easy work of Central Catholic and carried off a 7-3 win. Considering Perkins have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Edison came up short against Elyria on Saturday and fell 4-2.

Kailyn Dickman and Kellyn Ritchie scored both of the Chargers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Perkins, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Everything went Perkins' way against Edison in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Perkins made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
