Basketball Game Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Brandon Eagles

Robinson is 7-0 against Brandon since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Robinson Knights will look to defend their home court against the Brandon Eagles at 8:00 p.m. Robinson is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Robinson lost to Plant City on the road by a 75-61 margin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Raiders are ranked 149th).

Robinson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaden Behel, who went 10 of 20 en route to 27 points, and Zyon Floyd, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Those 27 points gave Behel a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Hussein, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Brandon came up short against Middleton on Wednesday and fell 67-56. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Robinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything came up roses for Robinson against Brandon in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-30 victory. In that contest, Robinson amassed a halftime lead of 38-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
