Basketball Recap: Woodbury Comes Up Short

After flying high against Irondale last Tuesday, Woodbury came back down to earth. The Woodbury Royals lost to the Roseville Raiders at home by a 68-54 margin on Thursday. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 80-73.

Woodbury has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Roseville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Woodbury will challenge Eastview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodbury is facing Eastview at the right time seeing as Eastview is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Roseville, they will square off against Minneapolis Southwest at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Roseville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Minneapolis Southwest likes a good challenge.
