Baseball Recap: Father Mcgivney Catholic Picks Up 17th Straight Win at Home

Father McGivney Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions 10-1. Ten seems to be a good number for the Griffins as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Chase Kelley looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Drew Kleinheider was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Omar Avalos was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
