Recap: Miller Buccaneers vs. Carroll Tigers
The Miller Buccaneers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Carroll 76-24 at home. The result was nothing new for Miller, who have now won eight matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miller to victory, but perhaps none more so than Broderick Taylor, who rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Taylor's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Trevor Long was another key contributor, throwing for 280 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
Although Carroll took the loss, they still got scores from Robert Muhammad and Gabriel Garcia.
Miller's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Carroll, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Miller will be playing at home against Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Martin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 948th, while Miller is ranked 137th). Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
