Preview: Kellogg Panthers vs. Bellevue Broncos
The Kellogg Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Bellevue Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Kellogg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Kellogg couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maple Valley. Kellogg has not had much luck with Maple Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Kellogg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hugo Martino, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 blocks, and Grant McArthur who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Howland, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bellevue had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 61-46 win over Phoenix.
Kellogg's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bellevue, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
