Recap: Sparks Railroaders vs. Truckee Wolverines

The Sparks Railroaders can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Truckee. Sparks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sparks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrea Nicole Domingo, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Domingo has scored all season. Erica Tagulao was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophia Killian, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayla Abraham, who scored six points.

Sparks' win ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Truckee, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Sparks will be playing at home against South Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Tahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday. As for Truckee, they will head out on the road to challenge Hug at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Allowing an average of 53.3 points per game, Hug has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest.
