Fountain Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering South just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter humbled Legacy with an 80-18 victory. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Tigers are ranked 1098th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Granada Hills Charter, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
