Volleyball Recap: Laughlin Comes Up Short

Laughlin came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Adelson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since September 24, 2024.

Laughlin was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-21.

Laughlin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Adelson, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

The future could be bright for both Laughlin and Adelson: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Cougars will try to hand Sandy Valley their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Adelson will look to extend Beatty's four-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
